I'm Solomon Nyukuri, a senior electrician based in Bungoma town, and I've spent more than ten years doing modern electrification work. House wiring is the backbone of what I do, taking a building from bare walls through to the last socket and switch. Alongside that I install solar systems for homes and premises that want their own supply, and I build overhead power lines where a connection has to be carried across ground rather than run inside a wall. Motor installation and servicing comes up regularly too, either setting up a new unit or getting an existing one turning properly again. The rest of my work sits close to the wiring. I install CCTV so owners can see what happens on their property, put up electric fencing along perimeters, and set up WiFi and internet where a signal needs to reach past one room. Gypsum lighting is the job I get called in for while a ceiling is still going up, so the lighting is planned into it instead of being cut in afterwards. I work across Bungoma town and the areas around it, including Kanduyi, Webuye, Kimilili, Chwele and Bumula, and I travel to other parts of the country when a job calls for it.
Bringing me in means the whole electrical side of a project sits with one person. You don't have to line up a wiring contractor, a solar installer, a CCTV fitter and someone else again for the fence, then hope they turn up in the right order and don't undo each other's work. I plan circuits before I pull any cable, so your sockets and lighting land where you actually use them and you aren't running extension leads around the house six months later. When I wire a board I lay it out so the next person who opens it can follow what I did. Ten years on modern electrification has taught me to match the installation to the load you're really running, which matters most on solar and motor work. Undersize either one and you get a system that struggles or a motor that keeps failing, so I'd rather ask what you're powering before I quote a size. On the security and connectivity side I position cameras and access points around how your property is actually laid out, so the coverage lands where you need it and there aren't blind corners or dead rooms left over. If your job sits outside Bungoma, tell me where it is and I'll come to it.
